The QSD1 Series brings the lowest ever maintenance and most user friendly solution for medium and high speed propulsion.
The QSD 1 Series is suited to vessels typically from 8 meters and for power options from 200 hp to as much as 1100 hp, depending on the application.
This is a completely new design incorporating the same successful construct as the original SD series plus many refinements in function, form and performance. The results is a fully integrated propulsion solution designed for maximum longevity, that requires the least possible maintenance, less often than any other propulsion.
Exceptional performance and usability at all speeds, as is The Q-SPD Advantage with all Q-SPD systems, is of course a given. Manufactured using latest technologies in composites and marine friendly materials, it is very light weight and very strong, enabling a wide range of power for recreational and commercial applications.
The QSD1 series is offered in 3 ratings that typically will suit engine power from 200hp and up to around 900hp, matched for single, twin or multiple drive configurations.
QSD 102 – an entry level drive system that is perfect for pleasure craft with power ratings up to around 3o0hp. Perfect alternative to stern drives where maintenance is a concern or problem., and ideal alternative for waterjets and conventional propulsion offering increased performance and economy
QSD 120 – Mid range drive system suited to pleasure and light duty commercial operation. Typical applications up to 440hp would benefit from the QSD 120’s advanced long life bearings and bushing solution.
QSD 125 – The long service solution for high performance and/or high usage pleasure and commercial vessels. Suited for vessels capable of speeds up to 65 knots and more, so offers the ultimate in reliability and longevity for all sports, patrol, crew, passenger and most other recreational, adventure and work boat applications that demand only the best in performance and reliability.
QSD 130 – All the features of the QSD 125 except for even higher power. With additional composite structure and heavy duty Drive line this model has been created to meet the needs of high speed military and commercial applications.

Defying Maintenance – Commanding Performance
All vital mechanics and components are situated inboard away from the harmful elements. Bearings bushes and seals for propeller shaft and all external steering mechanisms are long life, maintenance free water lubricated, so no regular maintenance or additional lubrication of these external parts are needed. The thrust bearings are oil lubricated and water cooled on the QSD120, QSD125 and QSD130 models. The QSD102 is a low power version so does not required cooling. Exhaust is also accommodated for on all models with optional flange fittings. Steering is managed by way of standard marine steering gear attached to the inboard tiller. All QSD drives are supplied with intermediate shaft and Q-SPD specified custom designed propeller as standard thus completing the full propulsion solution.
